Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Dony (“the app”, “the service”), you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.

1. Description of the service

Dony is a personal productivity application that combines task management, time tracking, a Pomodoro timer, and organization through a hierarchy of Spaces, Blocks, and Tasks. It is available for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, and a web portal (getdony.com and app.getdony.com) for account and subscription management.

The app works offline and without the need to register. Creating an account is optional and is only required to sync your information across devices.

2. User accounts

• You can create your account with email and password or with Sign in with Apple.
• You must provide truthful information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your access credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app or by contacting us. The account is deactivated immediately and you can recover it by signing in again within the following 30 days; after that period, the account and its data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
• Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription purchased through Apple; you must cancel it from your Apple account's subscription settings.

3. Plans and subscriptions

3.1 Free plan

Includes full use of the app, syncing across your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac), reminders through your own email server, and one synced attachment.

3.2 Pro plan

Required to sync with platforms outside the Apple ecosystem (for example, Windows). It also includes reminders managed by us via email and up to five synced attachments.

3.3 Pricing and billing

• Monthly and annual subscriptions, with prices shown before purchase.
• The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial.
• Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple (in-app purchase on iPhone, iPad, and Mac) or through Stripe (purchase on the web portal), depending on the platform you use.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

3.4 Cancellations and refunds

• If you subscribed through Apple, manage the cancellation from your Apple account's subscription settings; if you subscribed through the web portal, from the Stripe customer portal.
• Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the period already paid, unless the applicable consumer protection law provides otherwise.
• Refund requests for purchases made through Apple are handled directly with Apple, under its policies. For purchases made on the web portal, write to hello.donyapp@gmail.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for illegal purposes
• Attempt to access our systems or other users' accounts without authorization
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app except as permitted by applicable law
• Intentionally overload or interfere with the service

5. User content

You retain ownership of all the content you create in Dony (tasks, notes, comments, attachments). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing you with the service (for example, syncing it across your devices).

6. Service availability

We strive to keep the sync service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Using the app without syncing does not depend on our servers and will keep working even if the sync service is temporarily down.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue service features, giving reasonable advance notice when the change affects existing paid features.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dony is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the app, including data loss, except for gross negligence or willful misconduct on our part. We recommend keeping backups of especially important information.

8. Termination

We may suspend or cancel your access to the account and sync features if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified within the app or by email. Continued use of the service after an update implies acceptance of the new Terms.
